About Us Twenty years ago Ted Saville and Steen Davies were training and racing bicycles in Italy. After each ride they would stop into one of the many coffee shops in town for an espresso or latte. Steen would talk about his grandparents coffee plantation in Guatemala and how he would spend his summers visiting as a youth. Those summers turned out to be highly educational, learning about growing coffee with a symbiotic relationship between the people, the land and the environment. They often talked about someday opening a coffee shop in their Southern California home town. They got together and with their combined skills and lot's of hard work they opened Boney Mountain Coffee Company. You could say it's a partnership made in Newbury Park. Get a coffee, sit on the patio and relax with good friends and meet new folks who you may have more in common than you think.
